Minister Tumwebaze Commissions Bisozi H/C1V, Multimillion Malere Piped Water System

Kamwenge: Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development dubbed Kibaale East unopposed legislator for 11th parliament Hon. Frank Tumwebaze has today commissioned two mega projects that will see Kamwenge constituency climbing hills of development swiftly than any other constituent in the coming years.

Commissioned Bisozi HCIV

Tumwebaze first commissioned on behalf of Rt Hon. Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda the completed Bisozi hospital infrastructure that has been upgraded from HC III to IV.

Tumwebaze while commissioning the project he noted, “On behalf of our community I thank the Government of Uganda under the able leadership of H.E Kaguta Museveni for supporting refugee-hosting communities.”

The facility has one OPD, one general ward four stainless steel rainwater tanks each 10,000-litre capacity, solar power unit, doctors house, staff accommodation houses, fencing and walkways, ranking it one of the most equipped hospitals in the region.

Minister Tumwebaze Planting The Tree After Launching Malere Piped Water System

After commissioning the hospital, Tumwebaze set off for the launch of Malere piped water system, a great project implemented by Kamwenge District Local Government in collaboration with Water4People Uganda, Ministry of Water and Environment and National Water and Sewage Corporation (NWSC).

TheSpy Uganda has learnt that Malere Piped Water supply and sanitation system will serve an initial population of 10821, 15,879 by 2029 and 24,214 by 2040.

Minister on the launch he noted, “Am happy to yet again launches another service delivery milestone for my constituents of scaling-up safe water coverage in Malere, Biguli sub-county supported by Water4PeopleUG, Water4People In partnership with the Ministry of Water.”

According to Tumwebaze, the commissioned reservoir will service more 13 villages that will see a jerrycan of water coming to Sh50 and 1 Unit (1000ltr) dropping to Sh3,500.
