MultiChoice Launches First Ugandan FM Radio On DSTV Audio Bouquet To Boost Radio Entertainment

Kampala: MultiChoice Uganda, the home of great Pay TV entertainment has unveiled the first ever Ugandan FM radio station on DStv audio bouquet. DSTV on 14 October 2020 launched the addition of Radio One FM 90, one of Uganda’s oldest and most popular FM stations unto their bouquet. This move is meant to extend great Ugandan music and information to more listeners and create more access not only on radio but on television sets as well.

Mr. Colin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing Multichoice Uganda welcomed and applauded Radio One for joining the DStv family adding that Multichoice looks forward to a great and fruitful partnership with the station in its bid to meet customer expectations.

Colin added that the launch of the partnership demonstrates their resolve to explore and strengthen local media and content production partnerships that are aimed at delivering more value for money services to customers in Uganda and beyond.

“The addition of Radio One to our bouquet of channels is in line with this strategic intent. This milestone means that our audiences across Uganda now have an additional avenue to listen to their popular programs and shows on Radio One live from Kampala, Uganda,” he said.

Elvis Kalema, the Head of Programming Radio One, also welcomed the move and said they expect more from the partnership. “We are excited and honored to be the first Ugandan FM radio station to be added to the DStv bouquet. This is a mark of confidence in the quality of content of Radio One by our audiences,” he said.

DSTV customers and fans can now experience great memories and access Radio one FM 90 on channel 897 and this offer is available on all DSTV packages.
