Museveni Didn’t Fire Me – Musisi Speaks Out

The Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority, Ms. Jennifer Musisi, who recently tendered in her resignation to president Museveni, has finally spoken out.

Ms. Musisi who is officially expected to leave office on 15th December has been at apex of KCCA for close to seven years running battles with political side headed by Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago.

Speaking to TheSpy Uganda, Musisi revealed that resigning from office is a normal thing.

“KCCA is bigger than all of us and it’s here to stay. It will always serve all Kampala people and Ugandans as whole for the development of this country,” she said.

Musisi denied allegations that she was forced to resign by president Museveni saying it was her personal choice to step down.

She warned the speculators that KCCA normal operations will continue despite her departure because she has built strong authority of 10 working directorates.

She also added that she has hired professional and committed staff to run the hub authority without any interruptions.

Speaking to journalists at a signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding with the world food program Musisi said she has built KCCA on a strong foundation adding that her exit does not mean the institution will fall.
