Museveni To Sign New Bilateral Treaties With Namibia

By Andrew Irumba

President Yoweri Museveni on Monday revealed that he is considering government signing more treaties with our neighbours Namibia, so as to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Museveni made this revelation while at his farm in Kisozi, Gomba district, where he hosted the wife of the Namibia Vice president, Netumbo Nandi- Ndaitwah, who is in Uganda on a working visit.

Indeed the President took to his social media platforms and wrote thus;

“The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi- Ndaitwah, visited me in Kisozi. She delivered a special message from my brother, H.E President Hage Gottfried Geingob.

No country can become prosperous alone. We need each other. We have agreed to sign Memorandums of Association (MoUs) on trade and diplomatic relations to cement our already existing historical ties.

Like me, Ms. Netumbo is a cattle keeper in Namibia, I took her and delegation for a tour to Kisozi farm.”
