Museveni’s Critic Blogger Fred Lumbuye Arrested By Turkish Gov’t, To Be Deported Back to Uganda

Kampala: According to rumors trending on various social media platforms, one of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s top critics, blogger Fred Lumbuye has been arrested by Turkish Gov’t and is being deported back to Uganda to be handed over to security.

Since the president was falsely announced dead recently, there has been panic among bloggers.

The panic came after a report from Uganda security forces showed that bloggers are mainly responsible for the irresponsible falsehoods against the president, especially announcing him dead.

A number of suspects have reportedly been arrested since, and over 20 suspects are on the wanted list, yet to be arrested over the same allegations.

According to Criminal Investigations spokesperson, Charles Twiine, Museveni’s death reports started by mostly bloggers outside the country and later attracted the attention of many unsuspecting youths on social media.

Now, among the suspects on wanted list is the popular blogger Fred Lumbuye alias Kajjubi who the security forces point at to be part of the team that started such malicious propaganda against the president. Government wants him back to Uganda to answer his charges.
