Kampala: Preparations for the start of the new football season (2021/22) are in high gear and every department is working towards getting ready.

National Referees on Saturday morning underwent successful physical fitness tests at Makerere University Sports Ground.

It should be noted that prior to today’s session, the Referees had undergone medical tests on Friday at FUFA Complex.

A total of 82 referees were part of the exercise that put emphasis on speed, endurance and movement on pitch.

According to FUFA Physical Fitness Referees’ instructor, Ali Kalyango, the fitness test is mandatory and helps in putting match officials in the right state ahead of the season.
