In his letter dated 27th January, Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine expressed his disappointment in the way the station ‘established its own tally center’ contrary to the gov’t directive that no one was allowed to release results except the electoral commission.

“You will recall that in many countries, cooperations like yours have chosen to side with the regimes in power in situations of great moral conflict. Whether they do it for material gain or other considerations, they never escape the consequences of their depravity. I hope you will reflect on your actions and apologize to the people of Uganda”, the letter partly reads.

NBS TV’s Response Letter To Bobi’s Protest Note

In its response, NBS TV through its Head of PR and Communications, Dezyre Derekford Mugumisa, the station declined to ‘apologize to Ugandans’ as NUP boss asked, maintaining that it focuses on its long-standing integrity and accuracy in reporting.

“Via social media, our attention was drawn to a letter addressed to us dated 27th January 2021, from Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi alleging conspiracy and bias in the 2021 election reporting on our part. These allegations are baseless and unfounded.

We have consistently provided equal opportunity to all political players irrespective of their inclinations. Because of this, we have continuously received similar sentiments from government, opposition and the general public alike, especially when it’s not in their favour,” the station revealed.

Meanwhile, some social media pundits have since watered down NBS’ response letter to strongly-worded protest note by Kyagulanyi, alleging that the station ‘set its own question and answered’ instead of answering Bobi Wine!

Bobi’s Letter To NBS TV

“When you read their response, is there anything they’ve responded to in regards to Bobi’s questions? He is asking them to explain the authenticity and originality of the results they were giving Ugandans. Secondly,he is asking how they were able to get full district results at 9pm when the tallying had just begun, period!” Submitted one of the critics on Facebook. According to analysts, Bobi Wine is yet to bw answered by the Naguru based ‘POLITICAL COMMAND CENTRE’. Over to you….
