NBS TV CEO Kin Kariisa Denies Rumours Of Courting NTV’s Nakazibwe

By Spy Uganda

Kin Kariisa, the Chief  Executive Officer (CEO) of the Next Media Group, which owns NBS, Sanyuka, Salam Tvs, Nxt Radio among other media outlets, has denied allegations that he is  sweet-talking rival NTV’s news anchor bootylicious Faridah Nakazibwe to join his team.

Kariisa’s reaction comes after rumours circulated like wildfire this week on social media purporting that the media guru was allegedly courting  Nakazibwe  with intent to woo her from NTV to rival NBS TV by reportedly throwing a blank cheque for her to fill in the missing figures herself.

 It all started when someone tweeted using a  fake account claiming to be Kariisa, asking Nakazibwe how much she wanted so as to be convinced  to quit her job at NTV and cross to NBS.

In reply to the tweet, Nakazibwe boastfully tweeted that; “I am so Priceless!”

However, when word reached Kariisa that people were alledging that he is  trying to poach Nakazibwe from NTV, he took to social media and vehemently refuted the rumours by tweeting thus;

“Eyo saagilabye, abangi twabadde ku #NBSKatchUp.

But also, this tweet you quoted was from a fake account. Please disregard it and treat it with the contempt it deserves. Otherwise tonight, we go again on #NBSSNL.”

But it should be noted that Kariisa has in the past poached several journalist from NTV after ‘seducing’ them with fat salaries, among them  Rukh-Shana Namuyimba, Solomon Sserwanja, Chrismel Wasswa, Anita Fabiola, MC Kats, Sheillah Nduhukire, Charles Odontho and Raymond Mujuni (although Raymond and Chrismel later quit NBS and ran back to NTV), to mention but a few.
