Next Media Services Limited has finalized a landmark deal to acquire full ownership of Capital Radio 2015 Limited, bringing three of the country’s most prominent radio stations, Capital FM (91.3 FM), Beat FM, and KIIS 100.9 FM, under its expansive umbrella.
As part of the integration, all three stations have officially relocated their headquarters and production facilities to Next Media Park in Naguru, consolidating their operations alongside the media group’s existing powerhouse brands.
The completed acquisition sees Next Media Services Limited secure a 70.01% majority stake (1,417 shares), with Next Media Group CEO Kin Kariisa personally holding the remaining 29.99% (607 shares) to complete the 100% buy-out.
By integrating Capital FM, Beat FM, and KIIS 100.9 FM into its existing lineup, which includes NBS Television, Sanyuka TV, Salam TV, NBS Sport, and Next Radio, Next Media solidifies its position as Uganda’s dominant multimedia conglomerate across television, digital, and print broadcast channels.
“We are thrilled to officially welcome Capital FM, Beat FM, and KIIS FM into the Next Media family,” said Kin Kariisa, Group CEO of Next Media. “Bringing these legendary stations to Next Media Park marks a major milestone in our mission to deliver top-tier news, entertainment, and digital-first broadcasting across Uganda and the region.”
The consolidation at Next Media Park will allow all three radio entities to leverage Next Media’s state-of-the-art production infrastructure, modern newsrooms, and robust digital streaming distribution.
