NRM Youth In Deadly Fight

Jinja, Uganda:  Two youth groups belonging to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party were involved in deadly clashes in Jinja town on Saturday afternoon.

Our Spies with in the Party reveal that chaos broke out loose after Jinja NRM youth faulted members of  the NRM Mobile Volunteers Task Force (NRM-MVT) from Kampala for organizing a meeting without their knowledge. It is said that the Jinja NRM youth stormed the MVT meeting at Jinja municipal council hall which was aimed at sensitizing the NRM mobilizers on their roles towards the Party’s development. Clashes ensued the moment Jinja NRM youth stormed the meeting.  The battle against the NRM youth was led by  the Jinja district NRM Youth Vice Chairperson Majid Musongora, who argued that they are key stakeholders in the Party and ought to be consulted on all party activities within their area. He advised that the national party chairman President  Yoweri Museveni to organize a special meeting for the youth instead of sending representatives.

Musongora’s boss Robert Namilengo, who is  the Jinja east NRM youth chairman, noted that the President should first fulfill his pledges before sending his mobilizers to meet the youth.The NRM MVT chairperson Jack Nsubuga  was thumped severely by the Jinja NRM youth until he was rescued by the anti-riot police that was quickly called to the scene to avert bloodshed.
