NUP Lawyer Malende Cheats Death BY Whisker Along Masaka Road After Being Attacked By ‘Goons’

Masaka: It was a tough day for National Unity Platform (NUP) lawyer dubbed constitution shadow minister Shamim Malende as she was heading to Masaka for bail applications of fellow legislators; Muhammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana.

Malende, the Kampala Woman MP who is also the lead counsel for MPs, Sssegirinya and Ssewanyana who are on remand over a couple of murder related charges, via her socials says she was attacked by unknown people along Masaka road 5kms away from the Court.

She briefly explains that the attackers deflated her car tyres and swiftly took off leaving her stranded in the middle of the road.

”I have been attacked by unknown people on my way to Masaka Court for bail application of Hon Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana and my car tyres deflated,” she said.

Meanwhile, the development comes few days after Mukono legislator Betty Nambooze also alleged that she was almost finished after an unknown panga wielding man invaded her bedroom and asked her to say the last prayer before he chops her head off.

Nambooze however said it was God’s grace that saved her after making an alarm that called on the husband forcing the killer to take off.

Taking you back to Court matters, the two NUP leaning legislators are remanded at Kigo government prison over a couple of charges including; attempted murder, terrorism, murder, abetting terrorism all relating to previous Masaka murders that left over 30 dead.

Meanwhile, Ssegirinya is on another remand till 29th October 2021 over inciting violence using his Facebook page in 2020. The legislator allegedly posted that he was going to stage a resistance worse than that of the 1994 Rwanda Genocide that left over 800,000 dead most of them being Tutsi.
