Kampala: Deputy Police Spokesperson, Kampala Metropolitan Luke Owoyesigyire has revealed that they have arrested over 30 notorious city criminals during night operations.
Luke says Police territorial teams of divisions of Old Kampala, Kiira Road and Kawempe have continued conducting operations that led to arrests of hardcore criminals suspected to be behind the ongoing crimes on the northern bypass.
”In last night operations, the teams arrested over 30 suspects including their ring leaders, those who have been robbing motorists in a traffic jam,” says Luke.
He adds that these criminals use motorcycles to mug unsuspecting victims.
”A group of juvenile criminals, who have been targeting pedestrians and then mobbing them before stealing all their belongings using pavers as weapons,” says Luke.
These operations will continue until criminals are eliminated on the bypass.
