Kampala: The family of Pastor Augustine Yiga of the Revival Church in Kawaala, commonly known as “Abizaayo” has come out to clarify that the pastor is not dead as was purported on social media.

Several media houses this morning have been reporting that the controversial pastor had passed away over liver complications at Nsambya hospital, where he has been hospitalized since the beginning of the month.
However, family members and the management of his ABS TV have dismissed the rumours, saying Yiga had just been put on life support and is not dead.
“Pastor Yiga is still alive and kicking. Those who are saying that he is dead are doing it for their self-interests. The man of God is well. Those who want to meet him come to Revival Church Kawaala,” the management said in a video recording that found its way in social media.
Pastor Yiga, who is the proprietor of ABS TV was recently imprisoned for a couple of weeks for making statements that the state deemed reckless when he claimed that Covid-19 didn’t exist. Whether time has since proved him right or wrong is all yours to analyze. We wish the pastor a good life.
