Pearl Junior School Bukasa, located in Bukulu off the Kampala–Mityana Road in Wakiso District, has once again demonstrated that academic excellence is not a preserve of age-old institutions, after posting an impressive performance in the just-released Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results.
Out of the 36 candidates who sat for the exams, a remarkable 20 pupils attained First Grade, while the remaining 16 secured Second Grade — a performance that has sent waves of admiration across the district’s education circles.

What makes this achievement even more noteworthy is the fact that this is only the fourth time the eight-year-old school has presented Primary Seven candidates for national examinations. Despite its relative youth, Pearl Junior School is already outshining several decades-old schools in Wakiso in terms of academic outcomes.

Speaking about the milestone, the Head Teacher, Kengozi Jane, attributed the stellar performance to what she described as a deeply committed teaching staff, a supportive non-teaching team, and highly cooperative parents who believe in the school’s academic vision.

She emphasized that the school’s culture of discipline, consistent academic monitoring, and a faith-driven environment — guided by their motto, “God’s Word Is Real” — has been central to nurturing learners who are both academically sound and morally upright.

Parents and education stakeholders in the area have lauded the institution for steadily raising the academic bar, proving that with the right leadership and dedication, newer schools can rapidly ascend to the top ranks of performance.
