Two people who were riding on a motorcycle presihed after a bus belonging to Pokopoko Bus company rammed into them on Wednesday at 10:30 pm at Kanyambare, in Kigoma ward in Kizinda town council.
The deceased who were travelling on a motorcycle were knocked by a Pokopoko bus registration number UAM 682H, whichw as heading from Kasese to Kampala.
The victims have been identified by police as Arnold Tumwesigye and Patrick Ayebazibwe, residents of Nyampungye in Kyamuhunga sub-county.
Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson, attributed the accident to reckless driving of the bus driver.
The bus was later impounded by police although its driver fled shortly after the accident.
The bodies of the deceased were transferred to Kampala International University Teaching hospital mortuary in Ishaka town for postmortem as police investigations continue.
