Police at Old Kampala have carried out an intelligence led operations in Namungoona and arrested eleven suspects and recovered a toy pistol.
The operation was conducted today at Namungona II zone after receiving information from a reliable source that someone was seen with a gun in a bar.
A team of Police Officers were tasked to follow up the information and went up to the bar where one black plastic toy gun, mairungi and a bag of fresh opium were recovered at a bar called Ewa Nico Note Bar Magombe.
Eleven suspects were arrested namely;
(1) Kalule Jordan
(2) Ntwatwa Muzafaru
(3) Namiraku Patrick
(4) Kalemera John
(5) Kibaatu constant
(6) Nicolas Kavuma
(7) Sentongo Fredrick
(8) Mukasa Paul
(9) Mugume Emmanuel
(10) Sengonzi Isaac
(11) Namagga Azida
”All have been charged with unlawful possession of a toy gun, knife and opium and are detained at Old Kampala Police division,” says Police.
