Entebbe: The Police in Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso District, have arrested a man over allegations of abducting, defiling and murdering a four-year-old girl.
The victim’s body was recovered by locals on Friday morning in Magala Zone, in Division A, Entebbe Municipality, lying in a bush, who informed the police at Entebbe Police Station which quickly dispatched detectives to the crime scene.
It’s alleged that the deceased, who went missing on Wednesday this week, was first defiled, killed and later her body later dropped a few meters from her parents’ home by unknown heartless goons.
After conducting preliminary investigations, the police arrested Vincent Mugema, 20 years old, a neighbor to the parents of the deceased in connection to the murder.
By the time of filing this story the deceased’s body had been taken to Entebbe Grade B Hospital for postmortem as investigations into the gruesome murder continue.
The Uganda Police is yet to issue a statement about the horrible incident but we shall bring you updates when they do.
