Police FC Appoints Simon Mugerwa As New Head Coach

Police Football Club has appointed Simon Peter Mugerwa as the new head coach on a two year contract, TheSpy Uganda has learnt.

Mugerwa, a CAF B holder replaces Angelo Lonyesi who took charge of the team last season.

He boosts of wealth experience in football coaching basing on his rich CV after stints at Fire Masters and Sports Club Villa, (Assistant coach), Soltilo Bright Stars (Assistant/ interim Head coach), and recently Proline FC (Head coach).

Additionally, Mugerwa led Bulemeezi (2019) and Busiro (2022) to Masaza Cup triumphs and lately attached to quarter finalists and two-time champions Buddu.

He boosts of vast expertise in schools and youth football after his spells at Masaka SS, Kakungulu Memorial and currently Buddo Secondary School in the USSSA and FEASSSA competitions which makes him the perfect candidate for the task of guiding the team back to top flight league.

Mugerwa will be deputized by Robert Sekweyama and Nestroy Kizito as first and second assistant coaches respectively. Lwanga Ben Kalama is our new Goalkeepers coach while Fazil Ibrahim has retained his role as the club’s fitness coach.
