The big hearted Vice-President Jessica Alupo, dubbed Katakwi District Woman Member of Parliament, has offered a full education scholarship to a pupil who was seen reading on the roadside at night under streetlights on the streets of Katakwi town council.
The P.4 pupil who hails from Ajeluk cell, Katakwi town council, Ngariam County told the Vice President that he would like to be an electrical engineer.
To ensure that this boy achieves his dream, Alupo offered to teach him at all education levels adding that the boy’s zeal and commitment was enough to attract her attention.
”I was humbled to meet Otengei,a young boy who was seen studying under Street lights in Katakwi,” latter tweeted Alupo adding; ”He has told me he wants to study Electrical Engineering.I’m inspired by his zeal and pledge to support his education till University. Thank you Easterner for capturing the moment.”
