President Museveni Flies To Ethiopia For IGAD Summit

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has Friday morning flown to Ethiopian capital, Addi Ababa, where he is set to attend the 68th Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD).

The summit that will be attended by heads of state from Africa and other parts of the world, is expected to discuss among others climatic change, security, economic development and advancement of technology in Africa.

A few minutes after takeoff at Entebbe International Airport, Museveni tweeted thus; “I have left for the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, where I will join other regional leaders for the 13th ordinary summit of the Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD).”

It should be noted that the IGAD Council of Ministers held its 68th Extra-Ordinary Session on 19 June 2019 in Addis Ababa under the chairmanship of H.E. Gedu Andargachew, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Chairperson of the IGAD Council of Ministers.
