As the year comes to an end, Uganda’s music industry has been blessed with more talent, after president Yower Kaguta Museveni decided to release a new hit, which is off his new music album.

Spy Uganda has learnt that Museveni’s new album which has six songs, was recorded at his personal music studios called M7  Records.

City events promoter Balaam Barugahara, who is the main behind composition, choreography and recording of the album, said that; “President Museveni decided to go to studio and recorded music such that he can pass on his message to Ugandans  the way other musicians do.

The album has six songs but so far he has released one titled ‘Tukarugara’, which depicts a story of how far Uganda has come, from instability to peace, stability and development.

Whereas other musicians feature skimpily dresses queen dancers in their videos, President Museveni decided to portray Uganda’s progress over the years like industrialisation, courting investors,  infrastructural development, among others.”

Balaam also revealed that although what’s out currently is a demo, Museveni will launch the full  album early next year with a massive concert that will be held at Kololo Independence Ground.

He also revealed that that unlike other Ugandan artistes who are usually hired cheaply to perform at functions, whoever wants to book Museveni to perform at their function will have to part with 500m and above.

However, it should be noted that  this is Museveni’s second album, after his two-song Album he released in 2016, with a cover ‘Mpenkoni’ (Yengoma)  or ‘Another Rap’ which was a blockbuster and went viral on all airwaves in Uganda and abroad.
