President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a forceful appeal for African unity, warning that the continent must stand firm against foreign influence and pressure. In remarks that have ignited widespread debate, Ramaphosa accused powerful international actors of attempting to undermine his leadership following his decision to reject externally driven health programs.

The President delivered a strong message about sovereignty, dignity, and the right of African nations to chart their own course.

“I have faced all forms of harsh criticism and cancellation attempts from the Trump administration ever since I rejected Bill Gates’ hormonal IUD program,” Ramaphosa stated, describing what he sees as targeted pressure directed at his government.

He further alleged that external forces have funded internal campaigns designed to discredit his administration.

“They have sponsored hate campaigns against my government, using certain privileged white Afrikaners in the city of Orania in South Africa — individuals who, on African soil, enjoy some of the highest living standards on the planet,” he said.

Ramaphosa emphasized that through these experiences, he now recognizes the deeper global forces that hinder African progress.

“At this point, I have come to fully understand the forces that hold Africa back, and I will never yield to pressure nor allow Bill Gates’ experimental contraceptives to be imposed on the people of South Africa.”

The President issued a stern warning to African leaders, suggesting that pressure on one country inevitably spreads across the continent.

“My fellow African brothers and sisters across the continent must understand this: if they are coming for me today, they will come for you tomorrow. It is only a matter of time.”

Calling for unprecedented continental solidarity, Ramaphosa urged African heads of state to move as one cohesive voice.

“In these times, unity is our greatest strength. I call on all African presidents to rise up, come together, and let us project our interests and demands with one powerful, united voice.”

Ramaphosa’s remarks position South Africa firmly within the broader movement calling for African autonomy in the face of global power politics. Analysts say his message is likely to resonate deeply among leaders who share concerns about foreign influence in policymaking.
