Renegade Former Kagame Bodyguard Assassinated In South  Africa

By Spy Reporter

South Africa: The world has woken up to shocking news this morning of the brutal murder of Rwandan president Gen. Paul Kagame’s former bodyguard Camir Nkurunziza.

Nkurunziza, who has been  in exile in South Africa was murdered by unknown gunmen who rained bullets on his personal car in Cape Town, South Africa on Thursday night.

Sources reveal that prior to fleeing into exile, Nkurunziza, who was a high ranking official in the Rwandan government and personal body guard to president Kagame had accused him (Kagame) of allegedly planning to rule Rwandans with an iron hand force, tolerate no political opponents and that he was planning a sinister plot to create a pseudo- coup where he would assassinate his opponents. Nkurunziza then fled to exile and started a campaign against Kagame’s third called term  project which he named ‘No 3rd Term For Kagame’,  which became popular among the opposition in Rwanda.

It should be noted that Nkurunziza’s murder comes a few days after president Kagame visited South Africa, where he had gone for the inauguration ceremony of re-elected president Cyril Ramaphosa.

At the centre of the dirty diplomatic tussle are several issues including how  South Africa can give refuge and protection to Nkurunziza and later he gets murdered in the Capital days after the Rwandan entourage visit and presumably leaving South Africa. Nkuruziza is the second high profile person to be  assassinated in South Africa after the killing of former intelligence boss Colonel Patrick Karegeya in Sandton.

Former Rwandan army chief General Kayumba Nyamwasa has also survived two attempts on his life and other “dissidents”.

The 2013 Col. Karegeya’s murder and expulsion of diplomats from both countries in a tit-for-tat standoff; and a South African judiciary inquest into the murder of Karegeya that has since then never released an extensive report, are some of the mysteries that surround the murder of Rwandan dissidents in S. Africa.
