Renown celebrated city comedian King Kong MC has passed on!

King Kong, real names Hassan Ssempala collapsed and died on Sunday morning at a Clinic in Kisaasi, a Kampala surbab, where he had been rushed for a medical checkup from his home in Kanyanya.

It is reported that Kong developed severe fever at home on Saturday evening and was immediately rushed to a Medical facility in Kisaasi but breathed his last on Sunday morning.

Close pals said the slay dancer cum funny MC had never fully gained his health ever since he got involved in a very serious car accident in 2015 that nearly claimed his life. “The accident he suffered in 2015 is mainly the cause of his death, he has never recovered” a friend said.

Kong lost his left eye in the accident save for several head and face damages he suffered and had since been putting sun glasses to avoid direct sunlight that would affect him.

He will always be remembered for his trickery dance moves in singers, Eddy Kenzo’s ‘Maria Rozza’ and Big Eye’s ‘Tusasanya’ songs, among others.

Many of his colleagues in the comedy industry have already started grieving with the family and the country at large, and some of them….Mr.sseguja Herbert aka Teacher Mpamire posted on his Facebook page..…“The Comedy Fraternity has Lost a Brother!
Mc KING KONG has Gone to be with The Lord
??????????????????????
King Kong Mc had malaria. When he went to get his last drip he stayed overnight and he did not make it back home.
My brother May YOUR Soul rest in Peace”

Napoleone Ehmah: “When King Kong was still recovering from that terrible accident… I and Ronnie went to see him at his Kanyanya residence. With Kingkong it was always easy to forget the sorrow of the moment. He was all about fun and games.
As you can see in this pic, in just minutes the sick man was already playing with us as we made our Kungfu poses.
His belief in the power of recovery was just astounding. And the first time he got on stage, at the Laftaz Comedy Night, his passion sent some people into tears of disbelief.
And now majority of us are in tears of disbelief; this time with pain! Sad sad sad sad.
Rest in Peace KingKong, Rest in Peace”

Burial arrangements will be released soon by his family and friends. RIP
