Kampala: The Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf will, on July 25, 2025, install its third president, Kin Kariisa, the Group CEO of Next Media, during a grand ceremony at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort, Kigo. This marks another milestone in the club’s inspiring journey since its chartering in May 2023.
With just two years under its belt, the club has rapidly grown into a model of service and leadership, drawing members from Uganda’s business and professional community. Past presidents Jimmy Mugerwa (2023–2024) and John Muchiri (2024–2025) set a strong foundation, overseeing impactful initiatives across education, health, livelihoods, and youth empowerment. Most notable is the ongoing Shs 2.2 billion redevelopment of Kigo Prison Primary School, serving over 700 learners.

The incoming president, Kin Kariisa, brings a dynamic vision rooted in inclusive leadership and tangible impact. Known for his transformative work in media, Kariisa has pledged to champion at least one major community project during his term while fostering mentorship and collaboration within the club.

Beyond service, the club has emerged as a major contributor to The Rotary Foundation, having donated nearly USD 200,000 and produced over 20 Paul Harris Fellows and 13 Major Donors, a remarkable feat for such a young club.

With a current membership of over 60 professionals spanning media, finance, telecoms, and hospitality, the Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf continues to embody Rotary’s values of “Service Above Self.” Its bold vision and dynamic leadership promise even greater impact in the years ahead, starting with a new chapter under Kin Kariisa’s stewardship.
