Kampala: As part of their corporate social responsibility the Ruparelia Foundation have  decided to construct a sanitation facility in the Kamwokya Ghetto, using Proceeds from the  Royal Ascot Goat race that was held in October this year.

Dr.Sudhir Ruparelia (L) and son Rajiv Ruparelia will this Friday break ground for the construction of sanitation facilities in Kamwokya slums

Spy Uganda has learnt that the Ruparelia Foundation will on Friday, December 6, 2019 carry out a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of sanitation facilities in Kamwokya slums, on of the Kampala suburbs,  starting at 10:00Am.

We have established that as promised, the money for setting up the sanitation facilities are proceeds from the Royal Ascot Goat Races that took place on October 12, 2019.

According to the Ruparelia Foundation members, the cause is aimed at improving the sanitation in the slums of Kampala and Kamwokya is in the spotlight of national and international eye as its most prominent son popstar Bobi Wine (Robert Kyagulanyi) rose to political stardom.

The state of sanitation is wanting in the Kamwokya ghetto, reason why the Ruparelia Foundation support is handy, because it  will uplift levels of sanitation in the area.
At this year’s Goat Races, Ruparelia Group managing director, Rajiv Ruparelia said, “The Goat Races are more than just another event in Uganda; it’s a place where people can come and network and mix along with business, pleasure and have a fun humorous time with good food and drinks all day long.”

The event that takes place at Speke Resort Munyonyo was this year indeed bigger and better with its unique sporty-fashion and picnic vibe for revellers.

The Ruparelia Family pledged to undertake more campaigns under Corporate Social Responsibility activities as a way of giving back to the community that supports their business enterprises.
