AS Kigali came into the game with a 2-0 advantage over KCCA following CAF’s cancellation of the first leg in Kigali two weeks ago which gave the Rwandese side a win and two goals advantage.

The development was after the number of KCCA players tested positive for COVID 19 hence not traveling to Rwanda yet FIFA laws state that each match must be played if the team has at least 11 players including (GOAL-KEEPER) + 4 substitutes.

Aheebwa showed class finding the back of the net in the first minute of the game. He doubled the lead in the 36th minute putting the aggregate on level 2-2 before Muhadjiri Hakizimana scored from the spot-kick in the 50th minute a goal that decided Mutebi’s boys’ fate, however, KCCA kept bringing on the fight and Aheebwa sealed his Hattrick in the 75th minute.

He scored again in the 90th minute a goal that could have seen the Kasasiro boys through but the referee ruled him offside ending the game 3-3 on aggregate and KCCA knocked out.
