Distell company the major liquor dealer in Africa on Thursday signed a partnership with Rwenzori bottling company to officially distribute its products to Uganda market.
The partnership is aimed at enabling Distell access a strong distribution footprint and sales platform, allowing it price its brands and make them readily available for the benefit of consumers in Uganda.
“This impeccable partnership is an attractive opportunity for us to increase our consumer reach in the Uganda market by tapping into the expertise and local knowledge of Rwenzori.” Len Volsckenk, Distell’s managing director for Africa said.
Rwenzori‘s Managing Director, Kirowi Suma, welcomed Distell to Uganda and urged them to penetrate the market place available.
“Thank you for this great effort of bringing to Uganda these amazing products, I want to see you deliver these wholesome drinks not only in Kampala but also across the country,”He said.
The South African based Distell is a leading producer and marketer of wines, spirits, cides and other ready-to-drink beverages, with a diverse portfolio of brands that include the popular liquor Amarula, Nederburg and 4th Street wines, Hunter’s Ciders, and Scottish Leader whisky.
The highly anticipated event held at Kampala Serena Conference Center drew a series of different personalities including artists, TV personalities, celebraties, business Men &Women .
The event was hosted by famous talented Capital Fm’s Gaetano Kaggwa and XFM’s Siima Sabiiti.
