Kampala: Prominent journalist of Uganda’s online daily, Spy Reports, Raymond Wamala has lost his youthful elder brother Godfrey Kyaka at Mulago National Referral Hospital due to the deadly novel corona virus.

According to Raymond, Kyaka was first admitted at Kampala Hospital but due to exorbitant charges at the hospital, as family, they opted to transfer him to government’s Mulago hospital but the patient could not make it. As TheSpy Uganda we say RIP Mr.Kyaka.
Meanwhile, the sad news comes at a time when the country’s daily cases have shot slightly high in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health, results of COVID-19 tests done on 26 July 2021 confirmed 327 new cases contrary to 71 cases tested on 27th, July 2021.

As we report this, the cumulative confirmed cases stand at 93,122 since the first infection was in reported in Uganda in March 2020.
The breakdown of the new cases are: Kampala (103), Kumi (14) Arua (14), Moyo (11), Kabale (10), Soroti (8), Oyam (8) Nebbi (8), Gulu (8), Kyotera (7), Kagadi (7), Wakiso (13), Mayuge (6), Iganda (6), Bushenyi (6), Amuria (6), Rakai (5), Mitooma (5), Maracha (5), Kalungu (5), Mukono (4), Mityana (5), Kisoro (4), Kiboga (4), Jinja (4), Totoro (3), Mbale (3), Masaka (3), Koboka (3), Kibuku (3), Kibaale (3), Kapchorwa (3), Busia (3), Adjumani (3), Yumbe (2), Ntoroko (2), Nakaseke (2), Kalaki (2), Isingiro (2), Kyankwanzi (2), Ssembabule (1), Pallisa (1), Nakasongola (1), Mbarara (1), Bukomansimbi (1), Bukedea (1), Buikwe (1), Apac (1) 4 Truck Driver: Tororo (1), Kyotera (3).

The Minister has also revealed that Uganda has acquired a donation of 300,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccine that are ready for shipment from China. The vaccines will be in country on Saturday 31 July 2021 to support the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination exercise in the country.
