Kampala: The latest audience measurement report from Market Intelligence Group for Q1 2025 revealed compelling insights into television viewership in Greater Kampala. Four stations emerged as clear favorites: NBS TV, Sanyuka TV, Bukedde TV, and NTV, with Sanyuka TV securing an impressive second place, continuing its upward trajectory as the leading home of Ugandan entertainment.

NBS TV led the pack with over 34% viewership, reaffirming its dominance as the nation’s premier source of current affairs and live event broadcasting. Sanyuka TV’s strong performance is no accident. Its programming strategy has consistently aligned with what Ugandan viewers love — from live Music events and hit music shows to dramas and comedy that reflect everyday life.

The channel’s standout on celebrity gossip and lifestyle has earned it loyal followings across demographics. Third on the list is Bukedde TV, holding steady with its long-standing appeal to Luganda-speaking audiences through a mix of news, entertainment, and cultural content. NTV follows in fourth place, remaining a key player in the broadcast space with its news-focused and general interest programming.
