Sports Club Villa and URA Football Club played out to a goalless draw on Tuesday in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

The game presented many scoring chances at both ends but strikers at either side were wasteful in front of goal.

Villa’s best chances of the first half fell to Joseph Semujju. The former Vipers SC winger beat his marker and unlashed a rocket of a strike but URA’s keeper James Alitho was alert to save his side.

Bashir Mutanda and Ambrose Kirya had a good interplay on the right, Semujju was again set up but his effort from close range was clotted by Alitho.

There was a shift in momentum in the final fifteen minutes with URA settling in the game. Peter Lwasa got the first chance for URA but he side netted with the effort. The forward got another opportunity but the outcome was no different.

Shafiq Kagimu dribbled through the middle, weighted in a through ball for Matthew Odong who could not beat Brian Bwete in the one-on-one.

After the break, there were just two real chances shared by either side.

Lwasa had a goal disallowed for offside while Mike Serumagga had an effort saved by Alitho.

The Joogos remain winless while URA remains unbeaten, but have registered their third draw.
