Seven Perish In Kyankwazi Road Accident

Kyankwanzi: Over Seven people have died and six others deeply injured in a road accident along the Kampala-Hoima highway.

The accident occured in the wee hours of Monday September 23, 2019 near St. Beatrice International School which is an estimation of 400 metres away from karajji-Masodde trading centre.

Eye witness told Spy Uganda, the accident was caused by a speeding tipper Registration Number UAZ 812H that lost control and overturned into a trench.

John Mwawule the Kyankwanzi District Police Commander said all the victims were coming from Nansana in Wakiso District traveling to Ntwetwe town in Kyankwanzi District to buy cassava.

The deceased were Hakim Lubega 27, Eriab Mubangizi 32 and a one Mubiru among those Police identified perished at spot.

Mwawule said, they are yet to get particulars of other victims since they did not have any identification documents at the time of the accident.

The six other victims were admitted to Kiboga Hospital in an alarming condition.
