The Head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit (SH-ACU), Brig. Gen. Henry Isoke, on Tuesday received the Inspector General of Government (IGG), Hon. Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala, who paid him a courtesy call at the SH-ACU offices.

The high-level meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the two institutions, with particular emphasis on enhanced coordination in the fight against corruption.

Brig. Gen. Isoke congratulated Lady Justice Batala on her recent appointment by H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and reaffirmed SH-ACU’s commitment to working closely with her office to combat corruption and related injustices. He also briefed the IGG on the mandate of SH-ACU, highlighting its unique functions and strategic operations aimed at addressing corruption across the country.
In her remarks, Lady Justice Batala emphasized that her tenure will prioritize the prosecution of corruption suspects as a key deterrence measure, underscoring the importance of close institutional cooperation to achieve tangible results.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Micheal Tumukurate, Manager Special Investigations at the IGG; Ms. Munira Ali, Manager Strategic Partnerships and Public Relations at the IGG; Mr. Israel Ochwo, Deputy Head of SH-ACU; and Mr. Ngolobe Amos, Consultant at SH-ACU.
Both leaders expressed optimism that the renewed collaboration would significantly enhance national efforts to curb corruption and promote accountability in public service.
