Ugandan prominent singer dubbed BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo has today morning survived a car accident along the ‘deadly’ Kampala-Masaka Highway that left his car  dilapidated.

This has been confirmed through his social media pages where he noted thus;

“We had a frightening car accident. The road was wet and slippery due to rain and when we reached Maya there was a bump in the road next to Stabex Petro station that caused my car to skid in a remarkable fashion. It did a 180-degree spin in the middle of the road, facing the wrong way!

We then landed into a trench next to the Petro station. This happened today morning and all the three people in the car survived without any injuries recorded. We thank the good Lord for his protection,” posted Kenzo.

Masaka highway has been in news for a couple of years due to its deadly accidents noting that mid this year, over fourteen people perished on the same road after a head in collision involving a commuter taxi and a trailer.

A Tanzanian trailer registration number TH77 BVW / T433 BDY Mercedes Benz collided with a Toyota HiAce registration number UBE 995C that was coming from Sembabule-Matete to Kampala. The trailer driver was overtaking on the wrong side of the road.
14 people died on spot that included 5 females, 2 male juveniles and 7 male adults and only one person survived.
