Football fever is gripping Uganda ahead of the highly anticipated TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 clash between South Africa and Uganda, set for Monday, August 18, 2025, at Mandela National Stadium (Namboole).

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed that all tickets for the game are completely sold out, making it one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures in recent memory. Officials have also cautioned fans that no physical tickets have been printed and therefore none will be sold at FUFA offices or at the stadium gates.

Instead, supporters were required to purchase their tickets exclusively online via chan.tkt.ug—a move aimed at streamlining access, improving security, and reducing cases of counterfeit tickets.

“Fans should guard their e-tickets jealously and avoid sharing access codes. Anyone without a verified online ticket will not be allowed entry,” FUFA emphasized in a statement.

The match, kicking off at 8:00 PM, promises to be a thrilling encounter as the Uganda Cranes battle the Bafana Bafana of South Africa under the floodlights of a newly renovated Namboole.

With the stadium expected to be packed to capacity, excitement is already mounting across Kampala and beyond. The Cranes, backed by a roaring home crowd, will be looking to assert their dominance, while South Africa aims to silence the Namboole fortress.

For fans who missed out on tickets, FUFA has urged them to follow the game live on official broadcast and digital platforms to avoid falling prey to ticket scammers.
