Star Singer,Song writer Mowzey Radio succumbs to De-Bar Beating!

Ugandan musician Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo, best known as Mowzey Radio of the Goodlyfe Crew is dead! The Goodlyfe star musician cum song writer passed on in the wee hours of Thursday morning. City music promoter Balaam Barugahara confirmed his death on his official social media platform-Facebook. “Death has robbed us our little music star this morning at Case clinic,” he posted on his Facebook page  few minutes after he got a call from Case Hospital Administration.

Radio died at Case Hospital in Kampala around 6am, where he had been admitted after reportedly being beaten into coma following a fight at De Bar, a local hang-out spot in Entebbe town last week.

“The management of Case Hospital regret to announce the passing of Moses Ssekibogo alias Mowzey Radio today 1st February 2018 at 6:00 am,” read part of the statement issued by Case Hospital.

This comes just hours after President Museveni had contributed Shs30m and city social light  Byran White Shs 25m towards his treatment.

“The management of Case Hospital acknowledges the payment of UGX 30,000,000 received from H.E The President of the Republic of Uganda @KagutaMuseveni. We are grateful for this generous deed of contributing to hospital bills for the amazingly talented Ugandan vocalist Radio,” read part of the statement from Case Hospital.

Last week, police said they had arrested five people to help with their investigations into the beating of Radio.

Goodlyfe Crew is a Ugandan music group. Its main performers are Moses Radio (born Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo) and Weasel (born Douglas Mayanja). Starting as backing vocalists for the Ugandan musician Dr.Jose Chameleone, Radio and Weasel broke off from Chameleone’s Leone Island Crew in 2008 to form the Goodlyfe Crew. Since then, the duo’s songs have been successful on Ugandan radio. Starting with Nakudata in 2008. RIP Soldier Radio…
