The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kampala, Uganda has strongly condemned what it describes as recent military aggression by the United States and the Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling the actions unlawful and a violation of international law.

In an official communication titled Note 2881782, the embassy stated that the alleged attacks constitute a “clear violation” of the Charter of the United Nations and the fundamental principles of state sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Tehran warned that the actions represent a serious threat to regional and international peace and security. Citing Article 51 of the UN Charter, the Iranian government reiterated that it reserves the right to self-defense and would take “all necessary measures” to safeguard its sovereignty and national interests.

“The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns these unlawful and provocative acts,” the note reads, urging the international community to take a firm stance and hold those responsible accountable.

The embassy further stressed that such hostilities undermine diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving stability and peaceful coexistence in the region. It called on global actors to reaffirm their commitment to international law and de-escalation.

The diplomatic note concluded with assurances of the embassy’s highest consideration to the relevant foreign affairs authorities, signaling Tehran’s intention to pursue the matter through formal diplomatic channels.

The development comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where ongoing confrontations have fueled concerns about broader regional instability.
