Kabarole District senior fisheries officer, Sabiiti George William Araali was on Saturday morning found dead along a small path to his home in Boma, Fort Portal, Kabarole District.
Sabiiti has been serving as Senior Fisheries Officer, Kabarole district Local Government since 2000. He had just retired from three months ago after clocking mandatory age of 60 years. By press time, Police was still investing the cause of his death.
“They found him dead lying on his face, with all his belongings intact. Nothing was stolen, and he has no any marks of torture that could suggest anything as ot now,” his young brother Steven Kasangaki told our reporter on phone.
“This is to announce the demise of my elder brother Sabiiti George William Araali. He has been serving as a Senior Fisheries Officer, Kabarole district local government,” posted his young brother Kasangaki,who works with ministry of finance.
After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Science, Botany and zoology at Makerere University in 1985, Sabiiti first taught at Nyakasura School in Fort Portal. He later switched to Duhaga SS, then to St John Bosco Seminary in Hoima before joining ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) as fisheries officers till he retired three months ago.
He also worked under NAADS department in the same ministry.
He will be buried on Monday 22/11/2021 at 12pm, at his ancestral home in Kaigereka Zone, Rwensenene Ward, Buheesi town Council, Bunyangabu District.
Sabiiti is survived by six children, namely;
1. Kobusinge Stella (works with Office of the Auditor General, Kampala)
2. Kyomuhendo Doreen (Kiluse & Co. Adv. as tax consultant)
3. Kabanyoro Lillian (Infectious Diseases Institute)
4.Kasande Lydia (Uganda Manufacturers Association)
5.Mirembe Moses (student mountains of the moon university) and
6.Linda Janet (a P.7 vacist).
