Uganda’s COVID-19 Cases Escalate To 593 After Registering 36 New Cases.

Ministry of health has confirmed 31 new COVID-19 cases resulting from samples tested on 05 June 2020. 

According to the Ministry all new confirmed cases are Ugandans who were among alerts and contacts who tested positive previously and all of them were under quarantine at the time of test.

Ministry adds that new infections include 9 frontline health workers who are from Kampala.

However, others are contacts to previously confirmed cases from Kyotera, Buvuma, Yumbe, Pader and Mayuge Districts. 

Uganda as of today 6th/June/2020 stands at 593 total confirmed cases and 82 recoveries with no COVID-19 related death.

Basing on WHO report, globally total cases in the last 24 hours are 6, 663, 304 with 5,647 deaths, while Africa has 12,6561 cases with 104 deaths, and America has 3,155, 370 cases and 176.167 deaths.

Report adds that Eastern Mediterranean has 605, 026 total cases and 304 deaths, Europe has 2, 249, 999 cases with 963 deaths and South-East Asia has 336, 577 cases with 374 deaths however Western Pacific has 189, 030 cases with 7, 092 deaths.
