Kampala: The cumulative total confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 1,069 after Ministry of health confirmed 4 new cases.
Among the new infections include two (2) who are truck drivers that arrived from South Sudan and Rwanda via Elegu and Mirama Hills points of entry respectively.
However Nine (9) foreign truck drivers (7 Kenyans and 2 Tanzanians) tested positive for COVID-19 at the border points of entry and their entry into the country was not permitted.
Uganda so far has 142 active cases on admission which include 121 Ugandans, 19 foreigners and 2 refugees with 1,071 total Recoveries that Includes both Ugandans and Foreigners.
Samples from points of entry tested yesterday were 1,853 on addition of 343 samples from alerts and contacts making 2,196 total samples tested the whole day while 247,646 is the total samples tested since the outbreak of the coronavirus in Uganda.
