Uganda’s Mukasa Mbidde Moves Motion To Dismiss EALA’s Acting Clerk Over Incompetence

Kampala: The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) legislator Fred Mukasa Mbidde has moved a motion to dismiss Mr Charles Ngeleja Kadonya on grounds of incompetence.

Kadonya has been acting as the EALA senior clerk, a position he was appointed to in the vacuum that was created by the absence of a substantive clerk and his dismissal is pending and only awaiting confirmation of the EALA Secretary-General Dr Peter Mathuki.

According to Mbidde, Kadonya who was made acting clerk was a research assistant but had no knowledge of administration from the general observation of the community.

Kadonya’s position as acting senior clerk came after the contracts of Clerk Kenneth Madete and Alex Obtre the Deputy clerk had elapsed.

Instead of serving his role, it is said that Kadonya has been spreading rumors against the community ministers and the assembly to the media.

During her address recently, Tanzanian President, H.E Samia Suruhu said that she had discovered technocrats that are fighting the East African Community from within and because of that, she resolved to take out Prof Palamagamba Kabudi form the EAC docket.

Her handling of the matters has resulted in the removal of Prof Palamagamba Kabudi from the EAC Docket and appointing Hon Liberata Mulamula that has immediately rescinded the earlier wrong positions taken by the Cartel members, Prof Palamagamba Kabudi and Stephen Mbundi.

The appointment of Rebecca Kadaga from Uganda has also increased the community’s capacity as she is known as a hands on person that talks less and does more.
