Some of the mourners at the funeral

TheSpy Uganda Chief Executive Officer Andrew Irumba, who was among the mourners revealed that; “When I asked why they burn and don’t bury their loved ones, an Indian told me one of the reasons is that hundreds of years ago, hyenas would exhume their bodies and feast on them and leave some parts bare on soils. So they had to devise means to ‘counter’ the hyenas—–CREMATION!”

He added that “But I also learnt that you can still collect the ashes and bury if you want, if you don’t want they throw it in the lake! So for those of you who drink river/lake water and you feel it’s more salty and tasty…. please continue enjoying, don’t stop!
