The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to release results of the 2019 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) on Friday January 17, 2020.
According to a Notice released by the Ministry of Education and Sports on Wednesday, the PLE results will be officially released during a function to be held at tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia’s Kampala Parents School main hall along lugogo by pass,Kampala.
The minister for education and sports, who is also the First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni is expected to be Chief Guest at the function.
We have learnt that there will be a briefing on the performance of pupils on Thursday in the presence of minister Janet Museveni.
UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule said “The examination’s body officials will brief Education ministers on the performance of last year’s Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) on Thursday January, 16, 2020 at 11:00Am and later release them on Friday January 17, 2020 at 11:00Am.
This will however be the fourth time, Ms Museveni releases PLE results ever since she was appointed the political head of the ministry in 2016.
A total of 695,793 candidates sat for PLE, of whom 51.7% are girls sat for PLE last year.
It should be noted that Kampala Parents School, which is owned under the Ruparelia Group, is renowned for producing some of the best performers in PLE, a record they have kept for years.
