Kampala: The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the 2020 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) final exams timetables.
The time tables were released by the UNEB executive secretary, Mr Dan Odongo this morning.
The 2020 examinations are being held in 2021 because of the need to make up for time lost by the candidates during the lockdown due to COVID-19.
According to the time table, the UCE briefing will be on February 26 and exams start on March 1 and end on March 31.

UACE briefing will be on April 9 and exams start on April 12 and end on May 3, 2021.
According to Odong, this year’s exams will be conducted under different conditions to ensure the safety of the candidates, their invigilators, supervisors and police from Covid19.
As such, he said, all candidates will be required to wear face masks, sanitize and have their temperatures taken before entering the examination rooms.
“We want to ensure the safety of everybody involved, and so we shall be following the Standard Operating Procedures of the Ministry of Health,” he said.
Odong further appealed to schools to allow all candidates to sit the exams including those who have not fully paid the fees.
