UPC Outs Burial Programme For Lawyer Bossa

The leadership of the Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) party has released a tentative burial programme for lawyer Joseph Bossa, the former party vice President, who died last in Hague, Netherlands.

A notice released on Sunday by UPC’s Isha Otto Amiza, the Mobilisation Secretary, reads thus; “We wish to communicate the burial program for the late Joseph Bossa,the UPC PP that occurred in the Hague, Netherlands. The program runs as follows;

1.Sunday,6th, prayers at home in Bukasa.
2.Monday,7th,a night Vigil at home,Bukasa starting at 4pm.

  1. Tuesday,8th,Funeral Mass at Nsambya Church beginning at 10:00AM until 1pm.Therefore the body will lay at Uganda House at 2pm(1hr) for viewing by party members.
  2. Wednesday,9th,burial at Manyangwa beyond Gayaza,Wakiso District starting at 10:00am.

Burial Committee.” Bossa was husband of the Hon. Lady Justice Solome Balungi Bossa of the International Criminal Court. Bossa assumed the UPC party presidency when Dr Olara Otunnu bowed out on May 26th, 2016 to pave way for elections, which led to a protracted court battles. This saw the party splitting in two rival factions allied to Akena and Bossa. In April, 2019, the UPC party leadership under Jimmy Akena ejected the deceased on grounds that he was holding out as the Party President and instituting a suit against Orient Bank in the name of UPC without authorization by the party cabinet
