URA FC proved unstoppable after staging an exceptional display in Arua smashing Onduparaka 3-0 in the Star-Times Uganda Premier League round one seal-off on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the tax collectors collected it’s eleventh win of the season which makes them the only team to have won many games in the first round and that explains their table lead at 36 points.

URA played an entertaining game and Sam Simbwa’s substitutes in the 58th minute that saw Ojera Jaockiam and Nkuubi Brian coming on for Ssali Davis and Sseruyidde Moses respectively were perfect buttons to win him the match.

Hannington Sebwalunyo was named man of the match following his fine saves and this was his 4th clean sheet in his five games played.

Mukwala who scored a brace after the match congratulated his team mates and appreciated the coaches for the team work exhibited at the club.

“I congratulate  my teammates and the coaches because we work as a team. I am improving in each and every game. My target this season is to retain the top scorer’s award that’s why I joined URA,” Mukwala said.

Coach Ssimbwa in his post-match interview said the result was very important but mostly applauded his team for a fine display.

“It is good we finish the first round top of the table but the journey is still long. We’ve played well. This has been our biggest away win this season scoring three and conceding none. I appreciate the away form we’ve displayed because we’ve drawn only one (Mbarara City FC) and won the rest (7). It’s a commendable job done by the team,” he said

Elsewhere, SC Villa came from behind to beat Bright Stars 2-1 at Kavumba Recreation Ground with goals from Fred Agandu in the 9th minute that was cancelled by Bright Stars just seconds later.

With 1-1 at half Time, the Joggos came back with a full powerhouse to attack and the plan yielded in the 65th minute with super substitute Nicholas Kabonge finding the winner for Villa.

And finally, at Kakyeka stadium, Mbarara City shared points in a 1-1 draw with Bebe Swalik scoring for the hosts in the 14th minute while Simon Peter Oketch netted for BUL FC in the 16th minute.
