UPL: KCCA Shakes League As It Crushes Onduparaka 8-0

Kampala: KCCA FC walloped Onduparaka FC in matchday two of Startimes Uganda Premier League game held at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

The game was the first home league fixture at Lugogo for KCCA FC for the 2020/21 season and the first home game after 9 months and 5 days since march 2020 before sporting activities were halted due to COVID 19 pandemic.

Mike Mutebi made only one change from that line up that played the league opener against BrightStars FC. Midfielder Gift Ali replaced Mazengo Loro.

KCCA FC did not take long before breaking the deadlock in the 17th minute through a beautiful interchange of passes between dynamic duo Samuel Ssenyonjo and Brian Aheebwa before the latter found the back of the net.

In the 23rd minute, Gift Ali’s pass met Herbert Achayi far down the left-wing and the left-back scored off a long lob that found the visitors’ goalkeeper off the line.

Samuel Ssenyonjo then went for the double in the 29th and 31st minute. Brian Aheebwa getting involved in both goals.

At the stroke of halftime, Kigozi Samson was fouled in the penalty box and Aheebwa made no mistake converting from 12 yards to give KCCA FC a 5-0 lead going into the break.

After the interval, Ssenyonjo met a beautiful through ball from Keziron and stretched KCCA’s lead to 6-0 at 56 minutes. The teenager bagging a Hattrick and his 7th goal in 6 games for KCCA FC.

On 66 minutes, Aheebwa interchanged with Achai Herbert before the former found the back of the net to make it 7-0.

Aheebwa pounced on another spilt ball from the Onduparaka custodian off a long-range effort from Mugume Ashraf to make it 8-0 and bagging a Haul in his first home debut for the club.

8-0 the Final Score. KCCA FC hitting the summit of the Uganda Premier League with 6 points from two games.
