UPL: URA Sweats Plasma As Express Secures First Away Win

Express FC picked up their first away league victory of the season following their 1-0 win over URA FC at the Arena Of Visions in Ndejje on Sunday 14th February 2021.

Dangerman George Senkaaba who was making his first start this season scored the only goal 11 minutes into the game his second of the campaign.

URA FC failed to deal with Mathias Muwanga’s long ball which Senkaaba calmly controlled and shielded left-back Arafat Galiwango before slotting home.

The visitors started brightly with Senkaaba running down URA FC’s backline but was unsuccessful on three minutes although he tacked the ball away eight minutes later.

After taking the lead, the Red Eagles continued to press looking to double the lead and winger Charles Musiige would have in the 35th minute but his effort went agonizingly wide on the far post.

Skipper Enock Walusimbi was unlucky after his effort hit the post only for URA goalkeeper Hannington Ssebulunyo to pick up the pieces with seven minutes to the break.

In the second half of the game, the tax collectors came close on a few occasions with midfielder and captain Shafick Kagimu shooting from distance but his efforts all went wide.

The win takes the red eagles to the 4th position on the log of 16 teams with six games played so far and they will be hosting Mike Mutebi’s KCCA on Wednesday 17th February 2021 in their next league game.
