Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), headed by Commissioner General Ms.Dorris Akol has unveiled a new and very simpler way of paying taxes.
Spy Uganda has learnt that this new method is starting November 1st, 2019, which will save you from the hustles you’ve been going through.
It should be noted that previously if you wanted to pay tax you had to select bank and payment mode; you could only pay at the selected bank or use selected mode.
You were required to revisit the URA portal to change bank or Mode of payment previously selected and register a new payment.
However, that will not be the case anymore.
This is because URA has enhanced your payment experience with 3 payment tabs.
It means that when you select ‘other Payment Options’ You will be able to pay at any bank of your choice or use any mode E.g Mobile money, Visa e.t.c
The Payment Registration Number has been freed to ease payment and make way of doing business faster.
URA urges all Ugandans to pay their taxes promptly so as to avoid inconveniences.
