Kampala: Victoria University’s Bachelor Of Pharmacy Program has finally been accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) making it the sixth accredited institution in Uganda offering the program.
The development was confirmed by the University Vice Chancellor, Dr. ᒪawrence Muganga who commended the administration and the faculty of health sciences for their hard work in obtaining this accreditation.
”I am happy to announce that Victoria University’s Bachelor of Pharmacy program has received accreditation, making us the 6th university in Uganda to offer an accredited Bachelor of Pharmacy program, providing top-tier health science education. Meeting the rigorous standards set by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and having the most state-of-the-art Pharmacy Laboratory in Uganda highlights our commitment to excellence in education and preparing future pharmacists for successful careers” Dr. Muganga confirmed.

According to management at Victoria University, experts from the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda (PSU) and National Council for Higher Education recently carried out a joint inspection at the University to ascertain whether it meets the requirements to offer the program.
During the inspection, the team of experts were fully convinced beyond doubt that indeed, Victoria University met all the requirements set by NCHE including a state- of- the- art laboratory with modern equipment, highly trained personnel, safety measures, among others which have been fully fulfilled by the University thus the accreditation.

To bring you up to speed, Victoria University’s Work Integrated Learning Programme places students in a natural working environment as part of the curriculum for every Programme hosted at this University.
Under the stewardship of Dr Lawrence Muganga as Vice Chancellor, VU also has the VClass, a digital blended learning platform which allowed students to learn remotely and virtually. Not only lectures are offered through this world-class system, but students are also able to do online tuition payments and online exams.
